Welcome to a new year of fun challenges at Try it on Tuesday!

Thank you everyone who played along with us last year!

This fortnight the theme is "A Tissue". You can use a napkin, stamping on tissue and even is a great way to recycle gift wrapping tissue paper... There are many options.    

For my DT project, this time I worked in my art journal. I created a simple background with a layer of tissue paper in a crinkled style, handmade tissue flowers and also some stamping on white tissue paper.

                     Quiero dar las gracias a todos los que participasteis con nosotros el año pasado.

El tema de esta quincena es "Tissue (papel tisú)". Se puede usar una  servilleta, hacer un estampado en papel tisú e incluso se puede reciclar envolturas de regalo...  Hay muchas opciones.     

Para mi proyecto DT, esta vez he trabajado en mi diario de arte. He creado un sencillo fondo de papel tisú y también unas flores y varios estampados en este tipo de papel. 

                                                     

For the base of the pages, I used a background previously stenciled and stamped. I then applied a coat of gel medium and placed a large piece of blue tissue on top. Next I flattened it to get a crumpled texture. Once it was dry and I cut away the excess tissue paper, I painted it randomly with oil pastels. / Como base de las páginas usé un fondo  que previamente había estampado y estarcido. Después, sobre este fondo, apliqué una capa de gel medium para adherir una capa de papel tissue azul.   

I also stamped on white tissue paper some butterflies and dragonflies and cut out to add to the pages. / En papel tissue blanco, también estampé algunas libélulas y mariposas y las recorté para añadir a las páginas.

To make these handmade flowers I also used tissue paper. / Para hacer estas flores también usé papel tissue.
