Things with Wings

The theme this fortnight at Tri it on Tuesday is 'Things with Wings'. Enjoy all the inspiration and great ideas the design team have for you.Today I want to share with you something a little different, I made a card with a look of an older style. I love butterflies and I thought that one of them would look cute with a watch.
Esta quincena el tema en TIOT es "Cosas con Alas". Disfrutad de toda la inspiración y grandes ideas que el equipo de diseño tiene para todos vosotros. Hoy traigo una tarjeta de un estilo algo diferente, más clásico. Me encantan las mariposas y los relojes, así que hice esta composición.

The butterfly was cut from the DCWV paper and I then applied a thin coat of glossy transparent. / Recorté la mariposa de un papel de DCWV y le apliqué una capa de brillo transparente.

I used two different techniques to create two different styles of textures. 

He utilizado diferentes técnicas para crear dos estilos diferentes de texturas.

I have used inks and texture paste with stencils to create my three layers. / He usado tintas con plantillas para crear estas tres capas.

To create this background I used TCW stencil and SkyMist VersaCraft Ink. / Para hacer el fondo usé una plantilla TCW y tinta SkyMist de VersaCraft. 

Here I used Heidi Swapp stencil and Tumbled Glass Tim Holtz Distress Ink. /  Aquí he usado la plantilla y la tinta que acabo de nombrar.

Next I added some water through the stencil. / Después rocié un poco de agua por encima de la plantilla.

Now I wanted a bit of texture, so I mixed some acrylic paints metalic (red and brown) with texture paste. /  Aquí he aplicado un poco de textura mezclando pinturas acrílicas metálicas (roja y marrón) con pasta de relieve.

 The final layer is a tag. /  La última capa es una etiqueta.

Here I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Frayed Burlap) and VersaCraft (SkyMist and White). /  Aquí he utilizado las plantillas y las tintas que podéis ver.

Then inked the edges with the same colours of Inks. And the card was mounted on blue paper/card. / También he entintado todos los bordes con las mismas tintas que he utilizado. Y he montado la tarjeta en un papel azul.

The last thing to do was add my embellishments: The butterfly with the watch, the flower, the metal corners, the metal dragonfly, the crown... /  Por último he añadido todos los adornos: La mariposa con el reloj, la flor, las cantoneras metálicas, la libélula, la corona...
